Research and Development activities
In the current moment the working directions are:
- Implementation of sociological researches among the target groups, aimed to increasing quality of provided services.
- Materials development, upgrading quality of work on professionals and increasing public sensitiveness.
Provided services/Activities:
- Developing and participation in sociological surveys for assessment of public attitudes, related with drug users;
- Developing and participation in surveys in the group of injecting drug users directed to increasing the coverage of the target group;
- Participation in researches with partner’s institutions and organizations;
- Developing and participation in sociological surveys for assessment of public attitudes, related with commercial sex workers;
- Developing and participation in surveys among sex worker for drug usage in the group;
- Developing and participation in sociological surveys for psychosocial assessment of commercial sex workers;
- Participation in researches among commercial sex workers, studying the organization way of sex work, conducted by Risk Monitor – Sofia;
- Participation in epidemiological surveys among people with risky behavior for HIV/AIDS, conducted by Ministry of Health, program “HIV/AIDS prevention and control”, funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Services for professionals and huge society:
- Participation in creating methodology for outreach work among injecting drug users;
- Participation in creating National Standards in work of Threshold Centers for drug users;
- Participation in creating National and Local Strategies for HIV/AIDS and Regional Strategy for drug substances;
- Publications and articles.
