Commercial sex workers

“Dose of love” Association works with commercial sex workers since 2001 year. Goal in our work is to provide social and health alternatives for people who’re selling sex. Work directions are two:

Health aspect - keeping a good health statute and motivation in self-care and help to the others.
Psychosocial aspect - increasing of social competence to commercial sex workers and harm reduction of negative consequences from sex services in psychosocial plan.

Provided services:

Maintenance of center for health prevention and social support for commercial sex workers. Outreach program;
Distribution of safe sex materials;
Distribution of materials for safe drug use;
Opportunity for free and confidential HIV/AIDS testing, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C;
Providing gynecological consultations and exams, for people vulnerable to HIV/AIDS;
Providing health consultations;
Providing of psychosocial consultations;
Case management for people in risk;
Trainings “Peer to peer”, directed to increasing sex workers’ competence and theirs personal health engagement;
Providing sociological surveys among commercial sex workers.

Services for professionals:

Organization and participation in meetings on local, national and international level for advocacy of commercial sex workers;
Organization and participation in meetings for specifics in the work with commercial sex workers.
